"If you have to be Downtown", it's "exciting" to stay "on a high floor overlooking the Statue of Liberty and the Harbor" at this "standard" Financial District chainster, with a location that's "handy" for business though "far from most tourist locations" (and somewhat "deserted" at night); you'll find "decent-size", "recently remodeled" rooms, a "responsive front desk" and "a great gym and spa", and though critics complain there aren't enough decent restaurants "within walking distance", "Roy's off the lobby is a huge plus."

Beautiful rooms, great staff, and fantastic location.
Construction around the entrance.
We could not have done better with this hotel. It was beautiful, with renovated rooms with high flat screen televisions. Comfortable beds and within a short walk to three different subway lines to take you uptown. Also we were able to walk to the Statue of Liberty Ferry line from the hotel. ...read more

Great location to the Brooklyn cruise terminal.
Bath tubs need to be replaced.
